At Hartwood Foods, we dry age our beef for up to 35 days in our special maturation unit. This process involves water loss in the meat and the breakdown of muscle fibres. This results in beef that has an unrivalled tenderness and a rich, deep colour. Nothing quite beats the intense flavour and tender quality that comes from dry ageing.
As we take great care in specially selecting our beef, it needs to be handled by those who share our passion and respect for the trade. All our butchers have been in the business for over 30 years and are masters in their craft. From ordering to delivery, here is how it works.
Order online from our easy to use web store or call us for any special requirements.
The order then gets passed over to our master butcher who will carefully select and cut the beef.
The final product is vacuum packed, then placed in a thermo-regulated box with specially designed cool packs to ensure it reaches you at the perfect temperature.
Order before 12 noon, and we aim to deliver your order the next day via a overnight courier.
